Increase your Ford Powerstroke diesel fuel mileage
The cooler fuel is, the denser it is, which means better overall diesel fuel economy. This was but one design specification we had in mind when we built the CPR fuel systems. The difficulty with keeping your fuel from getting too hot is that it interacts with the exhaust, heads and other equipment which are typically hot when the engine is running. If you purchase a Dieselsite CPR fuel system, a return line fuel cooler comes pre-assembled in it. To improve powerstroke diesel fuel mileage it's thermally controlled to cool diesel only when necessary. It will improve your fuel pump's function as well as extend its life. It can be mounted virtually anywhere as long as you draw the return line from the regulator to the cooler and then from the cooler back to the tank.
Achieve better diesel fuel economy
If you're trying to get a little more out of your 7.3 Powerstroke diesel fuel mileage, combining fuel may be an option.
Combinations of these fuels have boosted drivers miles per gallon (MPG) when towing or freeway driving. Mixing fuels for maximum efficiency may provide a side benefit of giving you more horse power. However, this requires meticulous work as mixing can be dangerous if not done properly. We offer several kits that take all the guesswork out of the job for you. Be aware that more than a 50% methanol mix can raise your exhaust gas temperature (EGT), too.
Driving habits can have a strong effect on your diesel fuel economy. Boost affects the quantity of fuel you use and the rate at which it burns. The less boost you use while cruising, while maintaining good EGT levels, the better your mileage will be.
