DIESELSITE introduced aramid boots to the market almost 15 years
ago. We wanted the best oil and heat resistance properties we could get
along with superior strength leading to our three layer design with an
inner fluoroelastomer lining that protects the aramid reinforced core
layer from oil penetration.
The 6.0L Ford PSD light duty diesel pickup trucks come equipped
with boots for two different intercooler setups: early (steel piping) and late (plastic piping). Always check your application by looking under the hood of your vehicle. A lot of these locations and connections can change or vary depending on having plastic or steel tubing and converting a late 05-07 to the steel tubing is surprisingly common. Do not always depend on your truck year to choose your boots.
