ABOUT OUR BOOTS:
As with all of our DIESELSITE products, these are QUALITY PARTS. We ordered sample upon sample of hose material and clamps until we were satisfied with the quality of the parts and certain of their integrity in our application. Our boots are made of hose that is reinforced with synthetic fabric. It will not kink or collapse. The special synthetic rubber is exceptionally resistant to heat, ozone, gasoline, gasohol, methanol, ethanol and diesel fuel. It can withstand the engine heat and 100psi boost pressure. This is virtually "indestructable" boot material. However, they will not survive a screwdriver through the side of them, so be careful when prying them loose. We don't warranty "screwdriver death" of our boots.
Our boots are Flourolastomer lined to handle oil, heat, etc. They have a 5 ply braided center section, and a textured outer rubber cover to grip on to the clamps. Fluoroelastomers are synthetic, rubber-like materials used in gaskets, O-rings and hoses. Their unique properties make these products ideal for high-performance aerospace and automotive applications or environments that are extremely harsh and challenging.
The most important thing you need to know is this: Silicone hose is NOT compatible with fuel or oil.For those that want the absolute best hoses you can buy, we made the units you see on our web site. These are not cheap silicon hoses. These are top quality tubes that are individually molded. These are not cut sections of some hose length. OUR BEST SALESMAN - CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS:
Hey guys and or gals,
Well, it comes that time again that I have to thank you. I own a couple of your other products which are on my 02 Excursion 7.3. I noticed that my intercooler boots were leaking and one was covered in oily gunk. So, I order your intercooler boots to replace the cheap, ahum, and I mean cheap OEM boots. Fit like a glove the extra length was no problem. I'd also like to report that the original engine kit boots I bought from you have about about 120,000 miles on them. I was comparing the new boots to the old to see if there had been any break down in the engine boots material. Nope, aside from being a little dirty, they have held up better than I expected Still pliable and no material break down internal or external. Hence when the intercooler boots started leaking I had you guys in mind!
I'll also add this as well, I noticed an improvement to how my truck runs now with the new intercooler boots. The truck is bone stock, so, without any aftermarket gauges I could not tell you how bad the leak was before. But the response now is a heck of allot better. Plus the fact that your boots have no ridges in them and are the same size diameter from end to end. Unlike fords wacky approach to large hole to small, ridges, then back to large. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if you look though and oem one. So, in short it would seem to me that your boots would have a better advantage than stock. Same diameter from end to end and no restriction means better airflow, and better performance for the application. And the material is far superior to oem. "Yours is a mans boot ! " Like I sad the other four boots have held up excellent as I'm sure these will as well. Top quality.
Thanks again for another great Dieselsite original- Jason
