Dyno Updated March 7, 2009

Here are my results of the dyno runs.

1. DP 140- 277.8hp@3000rpm, 627.6tq@2250rpm. ICP- 3242/duty cycle-75%@3250rpm

2. Evolution 100- 301.7hp@3000rpm, 614.5tq@2250rpm. ICP- 2939/duty cycle-60%@3250rpm

3. DP 120- 282.3hp@3000rpm, 601.2tq@2250rpm. ICP- 3264/duty cycle-73%@3250rpm

For being at 4500' in elevation, that's not to bad(my hp/tq from last year was at 300' in elevation, 8-10 hp loss per 1000' of elevation), so by that account I gained almost 50hp which is awesome!

The dyno tech was amazed by the power curve, he will be ordering a pump for his 01 w/hybrids,gt38,itp reg return. So this petty much proves that the pump works sweet. Thanks again for the great product and the friendship.

Dan

BEFORE/AFTER COMMENTS: My "before" dyno numbers were at an elevation of 300'-293hp/588tq (@4500'-250hp/502tq). So the corrections for my after runs are as follows:

Edge @ 300'- 353hp/719tq

DP140 @ 300'- 325hp/735tq

DP120 @ 300'- 331hp/704tq

So the pump added exactly 60hp and 131tq [with the Evolution], not bad for a stock injector/ turbo truck. You can't see it but I'm doin' the happy dance right now!

Bob's Notes: Awesome Dan! We appreciate the before/after information.  Alot of stock guys have been waiting on dyno numbers - 60 HP with a pump change only is pretty cool. Many people are trying to setup custom programming and changes to programs before they even get the pump installed. As you can see here, Dan's Edge showed improvement with only the pump change. You only need a pump change to see the results! You should never change any programs until you have installed your new pump and can see a baseline for changes. Most of the time you will not need anything. Depending on your injectors and current programs, you may need tweaking, but wait until you see what the pump does before changing anything.

DAN'S COMMENTS AFTER HIS INSTALL: I am thoroughly impressed with this pump even with my EVO 2 on stock mode I could tell a significant increase in throttle response and a definite seat of the pants improvement. I ran around in stock mode for a little while then put it in Race mode, all I can say is wow! It felt like a totally different truck. The throttle was snappy and it pulled all the way through to WOT.

After running in race I put it in Extreme and holy $#!* it ran better than my 99 F250 with thousands of $ put into the motor. Before the Adrenaline with the stock pump I would push the skinny pedal and it would feel like I was loosing power after about half throttle then at WOT there was no additional power and this is what made me want to upgrade my HPOP.

*This is for all the skeptics out there: This pump does exactly what it is supposed to do, it keeps pressure all the way through the rpm range and it never bleeds off! so if your thinking about a new oiling system I would put this at the top of your list, especially for the price(anything that betters our trucks performance and economy for well under a $1,000.00 is a must have!) The folks at Dieselsite are top notch in my book and if anything ever goes awry Bob or Sheryl will do everything in their power to help you out. Keep an eye on my page for additional updates including ICP pressures, duty cycle, dyno runs and how it handles the my new Wide Open Performance 6 position chip.

FUEL MILEAGE UPDATE: Here's an update on the pump, I haven't got the chip yet so I'm holding off on the data stream testing, but I have noticed a milage(when I can keep my foot out of it) gain of 1-2 mpg in a overall average(we have a winter blend fuel here right now and that drops milage by a lot). Again I want to thank you for such a great product and I will keep you updated as soon as I get the data and dyno testing done.

SPECIAL NOTES: Dan is one of three additional stock injector test victims that we had come on board right before release of the pump. We needed to gather more data for stock injectors and the different chips/tuners out there. Dan will actually be testing two configurations. In addition to his Edge Evolution, he just purchased a new chip from Zane at Wide Open. While you wouldn't normally be driving around with insane programs with stock injectors, we've been wanting to see what special programming can do to tax these pumps that wouldn't be seen under normals conditions - and Dan said he's up for it. Everyone should know the limitations of ANY HPOP purchase if they have future plans for upgrade. There's no point in anyone getting too small of a pump when we have three larger options for more oil and there are many other choices out there as well.

On another note: as the person farthest away from us receiving one of our test pumps, Dan has endured the stress and concern of a worried manufacture (us) who doesn't want his product in the wrong hands. He's been a great sport and extremely polite and Dan ... WE TRUST YOU! More importantly, I hope Dan knows how humbled we are that he trusted us for his oil needs. We sure have worked with alot of special people.

ORIGINAL CUSTOMER COMMENTS: I have been toying around with installing a “Big Oil” system for awhile now. Then I blew out the back of my remanufactured hpop, suddenly I was in need of a new hpop, so I searched and searched but to no avail. All the “Big Oil” systems out seemed to better suit the “Big Boys” with major mods and I didn’t really want to put another remanufactured pump in ( mainly I wanted to get more out of my current setup and a stock pump just doesn’t cut it ). I then searched for numerous weeks trying to come up with an idea to better the stock pump. Then one day I came across what looked like a pump that was to good to be true, The ADRENALINE, finally a pump that could work better than the stocker but not to powerful that it wastes horsepower creating unneeded pressure. I am so excited to get this new product into my truck I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep until it’s in, I can’t wait!
